Although Vivienne Westwood is usually associated with the 1970s, she did some of her most influential work in the early 1980s, developing the “new romantic” look (Kim is drawing parallels between Westwood’s “new romantics” in the 1980s and Dior’s “new look” in the 1940s). In particular Vivienne Westwood designed for Adam And The Ants.
