I am not a great fan of modernism, but Kent House in Camden is one of the most beautiful buildings in London, even in its current neglected and abused state (red balconies indeed!).
It was built in 1935, and Amyas Connell worked on the design - as you can see from the exquisite harmony of the two blocks and their connecting courtyard.
Kent House was built as social housing.
Amyas Connell was not a slapdash architect (as too many are). He thought seriously about every single detail and aspect. From every possible angle this building looks beautiful.
Living in this building would, I think, be good for your health. You would be immersed in calm beauty. Your whole life would feel rational and agreeable.
