Written up from memory:
"To understand UKIP today you have to go back to 28th November 1990. As soon as Margaret was out of the way there was a review of the candidates list and anyone who was associated with Margaret's camp was replaced. They were terrified she would try to come back. The result was a lot of people suddenly got onto the list who were, to put it frankly, rubbish. Then fast forward fifteen years and Central Office had to chuck all these no-hopers off the list. So now they are going across to UKIP in what can only be described as a fit of sour grapes."
