With the Union Jack sofa, British bulldog, and Bud Flanaganesque Maybe It's Because I'm A Londoner playing, this could be Nigel Farage's living room. What are we to make of this iconography? Is it "reclaiming" elements of Britishness; is it a yearning to enter the national cultural mainstream; or is it just a flaunting of symbols designed to annoy the older generations (one can imagine the disgust of Gary Younge or Benjamin Zephaniah)?
