Ed Miliband supposedly "forgot" to include immigration in his speech to the Labour Party Conference yesterday.
He was interviewed on the Today programme this morning and explained that the speech was just some kind of freeform framework within which he talked about whatever came into his head.
I am still no wiser as to what the Labour Party's policy is on immigration.
Perhaps they think it does not matter.
Perhaps they think that in government when policy decisions need to be made they will just decide whatever comes into their heads at the time.
