If Scotland is no longer part of the United Kingdom there will not be the usual procession of Scottish carpetbaggers coming down to London to build their political careers - more of the socialists will stay in Scotland and turn their attentions to Holyrood.
Thus Labour at Westminster will be denuded of talent, while the SNP at Holyrood will have a more formidible Labour Party to confront.
