It seems fairly clear in retrospect that Gordon Brown's intervention in the Scottish Referendum campaign was an attempted coup designed to seize extra power and influence for Labour MPs at the expense of English people.
Labour's policy is one of divide and rule - to cut England up into "regions" so that they can manipulate election results.
The Prime Minister is quite right to refuse to be bounced into agreeing to it.
