I hope Oliver Kamm is right, and the Iranians did not put a monkey into space.  I have been low-level worrying about the poor creature over the last couple of days.  How could anyone be so cruel as to put an animal in a sealed container and send it into orbit with no hope of getting back safely.

But I suppose that is just bourgeois western anthropomorphism.
