Marina Hyde (who is perhaps the thinking person's Carole Malone) insinuated that the Rothschilds were giant lizards in an article in yesterday's Guardian. In conspiracy theories (taken seriously by a surprisingly large number of people throughout history, including the German government 1933-45) "the Rothschilds" is code for Jewish world finance, "giant lizards" is a euphemism for Jewish world conspiracy. It was all dressed up with her usual tra-la-la quips to imply she is actually trying to be ironic and satirising the conspiracy theorists.
Interestingly the giant lizards sentence has been deleted from the version of the article on the Guardian's website - an Orwellian example of "unspeak"?
Or an indication that the Guardian is beginning to realise this stuff is not funny?

I will dig out yesterday's newspaper from the wheelibin and photograph the article as it appeared in the newspaper complete with ironic anti-semiticism (assuming the paper is not smeared with food debris and other rubbish).
Thank goodness no-one reads this blog.

Have just pulled the newspaper out of the dustbin and reread it and there is no mention of giant lizards. So I was wrong. How stupid of me.
