Debate on Newsnight just now about immigration.  The discussion was entirely about the finessing of the immigration process, with no questioning of the validity of immigration (it has no democratic validity).  Bland statements going unquestioned by Gavin Esler - WHY is it that the British economy can only grow by importing "skilled" workers from abroad (what is wrong with the British educational system that we cannot produce skilled workers here?).
