Associated Barack Obama with the word "socialist"

In an otherwise exemplary article in today's Guardian Gary Younge refers to the Obama Hope posters as "socialist-realist".

Sorry if this sounds pedantic, but the posters are certainly not socialist-realist, which was a hyper-real style that made illustrations look like photographs (or in some cases more literal than photographs).  The Obama posters are, as you can see, relatively abstract.  Perhaps Gary Younge and the Guardian sub-editors who are meant to check his work subconsciously associated Barack Obama with the word "socialist".
