Sunder Katwala says that there is/was no British equivalent to Seamus Heaney (he talks of Larkin, so presumably must be including dead poets as well as living ones).
Has Sunder Katwala not heard of Tennyson? (or Geoffrey Hill for that matter).
And in any case this "our poets are better than your poets" bragging seems puerile.
And also I don't much care for Seamus Heaney.
