In the furore that has broken out among lefties over the privileged position Independent writer Owen Jones seems to have vis-a-vis the Labour leadership (he is beyond criticism it would appear) no-one seems to be mentioning the close links between Owen Jones and the Unite union (Unite founded the Class thinktank currently headed by Owen Jones; the People's Assembly was launched from Unite headquarters; Owen Jones routinely appears on platforms with Unite community campaigner Ellie Mae O'Hagen etc).
In saying "lay off Jones" is the Labour leadership really saying "lay off Unite"?
And if so, why?

But I might just be seeing reds under the bed again.
