What impact has post-1997 immigration had on the prevalence of smoking in the United Kingdom?
Is it not the case that the vast majority of migrants from eastern Europe are smokers, including the majority of young migrants?
Is this inward flood of millions of smokers moving the United Kingdom backwards in terms of health objectives?
And supposing that the migrants stay here, what provision is being made for a rise in the numbers of people developing lung cancer and other smoking-related health conditions (and who is going to pay for their treatment since migrants are on minimum wage and will not be paying taxes)?
