I hope it is not true that John Major is to play a greater role in the last two weeks of the election campaign.

It was John Major's faux-Conservative government that abolished industrial wages councils thus paving the way for Tony Blair's faux-Labour government to drastically reduce the wages of ordinary working people by opening the floodgates to ultra-cheap labour from abroad.

It was John Major who did this, and Labour who took the next step (pretending with their "minimum wage" that everything was fine with open-door immigration, a line they are still peddling).
