The afternoon was absolutely still, the air hot and humid.
In the garden I found a Lime Hawk-moth. I have never seen one of these before (normally they are found in the south of England). It was a beautiful creature, and I was really pleased it had stopped by.
Also in the garden we have a bees' nest, and I was stung today for only the second time in my life.
