Liberal Democrat Home Affairs spokesman Chris Huhne was interviewed by John Humphrys on the Today programme this morning. It was possibly the most bad-tempered interview I have ever heard. Chris Huhne accused the BBC of "sneering" at the Liberal Democrats and "smearing" their leader Chris Clegg. At one stage John Humphrys actually had to say the words "let me finish". |

I too heard the interview. It was a hideous performance by Chris Huhne. He came over as the type of old fashioned bad tempered hectoring bullying politician he was trying to claim Nick Clegg isn't. Well Mr Huhne, Nick Clegg isn't but you are. Chris Huhne's use of the played out technique of endlessly repeating the points he was trying to make was embarrassingly dim. It's a rare event when a politician makes me side with John Humphreys!
