The house is owned by a military family. Built in a severe classical style, the facade is quite grand, but if you look closely you can see signs of retrenchment and decay (on the top floor one of the windows was broken and another had a pane boarded up, the stone stable block next to the house was derelict, away from the house the flower beds have been "let go"). In a field next to the garden were some sensational horses - very very smart.
