Let Labour have the BME vote

Faulty logic by Tim Wigmore in the New Statesman talking about Conservative electoral prospects:  http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2014/07/london-booming-so-why-are-tories-shedding-votes-there

Because the Conservatives are not attracting the votes of BME people the party should make an effort to attract BME people.

Why?

Let Labour have the BME vote.  Let Labour be thoroughly identified with the BME vote (and all the fixing and bloc voting and bribing with public assets that goes with it).  The next election will be fought on the topic of immigration not growth (if you doubt that assertion just do some doorstep canvassing) and if Labour start pandering to immigrants they will lose to UKIP as much white working class support as they will gain BME support.

And don't forget that the BME communities have a problem also.

With the crisis of legitimacy that surrounds mass immigration they know they have to win over the Conservative party if their position in society is ever going to be legitimised and accepted.

You want to be invisible outcasts forever?

Then carry on voting Labour.
