I'm afraid I can't get very enthusiastic about the "empty plinth" in It has been an open-air venue for various artistic endeavours, although to me they seem to be alternating stunts, gimmicks and self-indulgent trash. Yinka Shonibare' ship in a bottle seems a particularly asinine piece of work. Has public money been spent on this? If so, how much? |
