The British government needs to be making provision

With all the over-emoting and finger-pointing and tyrianthine name-calling (of Tony Blair) that is going on over the situation in Iraq I hope that the government is calmly making provision for what is obviously going to be a humanitarian crisis.

Especially a refugee crisis.

The British government needs to be making provision based on the understanding that the best place for Middle Eastern refugees is in the Middle East, close to their former homes and in the culture they are familiar with.

Yes we must be generous in provision of relief - but this must be relief close to point of origin with temporary transfer to the United Kingdom only for extreme medical emergencies.

Otherwise we are going to end up with another half million migrants arriving and UKIP gaining an extra two million votes in 2015.
