One would have thought Hadley Freeman would have shown more sensitivity

And is the Holocaust really a matter for levity?

I am familiar with the argument that individuals within a minority group are allowed to tell jokes about that minority group.

And I am familiar with the practice of academics making fun of their specialist areas of study to stop themselves going mad.

And also I am aware that the Holocaust took place many decades ago and that there are few people still living who were actually involved in the tragedy.

But even so one would have thought Hadley Freeman would have shown more sensitivity.

How can Holocaust Memorial Day be taken seriously when well-known journalists such as Hadley Freeman are making fun of the Shoah and describing it as a "business"?
