Be honest

In the Labour Party Political Broadcast by Ed Miliband on Wednesday and Yvette Cooper's speech on immigration on Thursday do Ed Miliband and Yvette Cooper intend to apologise for the unrestricted mass immigration that took place 1997 to 2010?

It would be a first step to acknowledging public concerns on the issue.

An outright apology would be appropriate.

The numbers are too large and the implications have been too serious for mealy mouthed "wish it had been different" platitudes.

Of course they could always come right out and say they don't regret anything, that they are glad we have had this level of migration and they hope that it continues.

That would at least be honest.

That would at least satisfy Diane Abbott, George Eaton, David Wearing etc.
